The NJ Icedogs Hockey Club

About the New Jersey Icedogs Hockey Club

Founded 25 years ago, the New Jersey Icedogs Hockey Club was built on the belief that families should have access to competitive travel hockey without excessive costs or commitments. Our program offers elite-level play while prioritizing balance, making it an ideal choice for multi-sport scholar-athletes.

Year after year, our teams compete successfully against the top programs in the tri-state area, proving that our model works. We field teams at the Mite, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam, and Midget levels, with a structured yet flexible approach to training and competition.

Join us and become part of a program that values competition, development, and community—without the unnecessary burden of excessive time or financial commitments.

Our Commitment to Development & Competition

  • Weekly Practices & Games: Each team practices once per week (90 minutes) and competes in 1-2 games per weekend.
  • League Play: We compete in the Hudson Valley Hockey League (HVHL).
  • “Plus” Non-League Games: Every team plays a minimum of 16 additional hand-selected games to ensure the right level of challenge and growth.
  • Tournament Play: Squirt, Peewee, and Bantam teams participate in at least two tournaments per season, with entry fees included in tuition. Mites participate in a minimum of one tournament, with the possibility of a second tournament at an additional cost.
  • Midget Program: Our Midget teams follow a short-season format with 10+ practices and 10+ games, focusing on high school hockey preparation. Players also have the option to extend their season for additional development.

Our Home Ice

The Icedogs train and compete at Ice House in Hackensack, NJ, one of the premier hockey facilities in the region.
